My art career began with illustrating my grade 6 math textbook with horses. Spending time, living and working with these magnificent spirited animals has given me a passion which is portrayed in my paintings. Another passion of mine is the textile world and I have been fortunate to have exhibited, taught and worked throughout North America and Europe in this industry. I have extensive knowledge of fabrics, thread, sewing and restorative techniques in everything from quilting to embroidery to clothing design.

First There is

RED

I am fascinated with the colour red and it has become a regular staple in my paintings and textile art. “First there is Red, then really Red, then absolutely Red”. I see in red the ability to provide a splash of life when appropriate and a regal disposition when desired.
